Carat-Weight
Carat weight is a standard unit of weight used for gemstones. A diamond s weight is the easiest of the 4C's to measure. One carat is equal to 200 milligrams. Carat weight can be expressed as a decimal, fraction, or in "points." There are 100 points in a carat. A 50-point diamond is 1/2 a Carat.
Carat weight is probably the most well known characteristic in diamonds, yet it is the least important in determining the brilliance and beauty of a diamond. No matter what size, every Lazare Diamond offers maximum sparkle, fire and brilliance.
